We're always on the lookout for the perfect spiral grid notebook, so we developed this notebook with this in mind. We started with a 7"x9.5" format as a good workspace, with .5mm squares. The head of each page has two red lines. We don't know about you, but we always like to have the option to have a header to each page. We also have lines and blank pages available.
A spiral binding works well with grid notebooks, as it allows both hands freedom to move. We like this especially if we are using a ruler or other tools in our design work.
Covers are 100lb cover from French Paper. The sheets are 70lb text paper from French paper. The paper is smooth enough for use with a fountain pen and still has enough tooth to work well with pencils.
The design is inspired by designs from the ornamental specimen book of Joh. Enschedé and Sons. It reflects an era where ornament was very detailed, complex, and dense, as well as very geometrical. Similar design elements can be seen in ironwork of the late 19th Century. The covers features a hand stamped gold frame.
